This is probably not a lens error, because other things are wrong other than the lens. accumulate at the bottom of the case. now everytine i start the camera it flashes lens error and turns of my camera. the lens wont budge and i dont have a budget to fix this PROBLEM.

Note that even if your camera was produced by another manufacturer, and not Canon, you can still use our instructions to repair the lens error. Turned it on and then off again and the lens cover finally closed.
