Fortunatly, there is a service dealer close, but I feel hosed. Canon A6000 Sowrav D. Removing a paper jam could have caused it in the first place, especially if the paper tore and you had bits every where. Do what the other suggestions have mentioned.

I have made everything move that appears to move and slid everything that appears to slide....Will soon disect this machine. Then turn off and on and away you go. Canon Printers I haven't been able to find any paper jams or foreign objects and the print head seems to move freely when I manually move it.

Using an inkjet printer that is out of ink is a bit like running a car without oil. Obviously have power off and don't turn on till drained and dryed. It was a bit painful but I got the side and top covers off to reveal the print head. check over here I have a canon PIXMA mp530.

Try checking the purge unit for paper stuck in it. Now have to figure out how to clean the thing - Anonymous Brilliant!
